Al Jazeera Dental Clinic has cared for families from Al Majaz and across Sharjah since 1998. Free consultation and X-ray, open until 10 PM, with parking in front.
A trusted dentist in Al Majaz
Al Majaz is our home neighbourhood. Many of our patients live in the towers along the Corniche and Al Khan Street, work in nearby offices, or walk over after an evening at Al Majaz Waterfront. Because we’re inside the area, a check-up can fit into a lunch break or the walk home.
This page explains how to reach us, what we treat, our opening hours, the insurance we accept and what to expect at your first visit. If you want a dentist who explains things clearly and gives you the cost in writing before treatment, we would be glad to meet you.

Getting here from Al Majaz
We’re on Al Khan Street in Al Majaz 3, so for most nearby residents the clinic is a short walk or a few minutes by car. There is parking in front of the clinic. If you’re coming from the Corniche side, allow a little extra time in the evening when traffic around Al Majaz Waterfront builds up.
Nearby landmarks include the Waterfront, the park and the Buhairah Corniche along Khalid Lagoon. Open our contact page for the map and live directions.
Living by the lagoon
Al Majaz is one of the most popular places in Sharjah for an evening walk, and many families spend their evenings at the Waterfront and the park. That active, outdoor lifestyle is great for health, and it also means we see sports knocks, chipped front teeth from bike and scooter falls, and children who need a quick check after a tumble. Being minutes away makes urgent care much easier.
What to look for in a dentist in Al Majaz
When you compare dentists, look beyond the nearest sign. Check that the clinic is licensed, that the dentist shows you your X-ray and explains the findings, and that you receive the cost in writing before treatment. A good dentist will tell you when treatment can safely wait, and will never pressure you to decide on the spot. Late opening hours, accepted insurance and easy parking all make it easier to keep regular check-ups.
It’s also worth asking how the clinic handles emergencies, whether children are seen, and which languages the team speaks. Our dental FAQ answers many more of these questions.
Treatments available
We handle most dental needs under one roof, so you aren’t sent across Sharjah for routine care. When something is outside what we do, such as implants, we refer you to a specialist we trust and continue to look after the rest of your mouth.
Under one roof
- Check-ups, cleaning and gum care
- Tooth-coloured fillings and root canal treatment
- Crowns, bridges and dentures
- Braces and clear aligners
- Whitening, bonding and veneers
- Children’s dentistry and emergencies
Opening hours that suit Al Majaz residents
We’re open Sunday to Friday from 9 AM to 10 PM, and Saturday from 12:30 PM to 10 PM. Late opening means you can visit after work, after school or after the evening traffic has eased. Our evening team can take X-rays and treat problems, not just book you in for another day. See our guide to finding a dentist open late in Sharjah.
Insurance and payment
We accept FMC, NGI, Inayah, Aafiya, SAICO / Damana, GlobeMed, MSH, Fazaa and Esaad, and we handle pre-approvals for you. Bring your Emirates ID and insurance card to your first visit. For treatment your plan doesn’t cover, you can pay in instalments with Tabby, Tamara or Toothpick. Read our guide to dental insurance in the UAE or visit our insurance page.

Emergency dental care for Al Majaz
Being close by matters most in an emergency. Toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a lost filling can happen at any time. Call us on 06 715 6001 or send a WhatsApp message and we’ll try to see you the same day. If a tooth is knocked out, keep it in milk and come straight in. If you have swelling spreading towards the eye or neck, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest hospital emergency department. See our emergency dentist page.
Children and families
Children are welcome from their first teeth. We keep visits short, calm and positive, and a parent always stays in the room. Back-to-back family appointments save time for busy parents. Fluoride varnish and fissure sealants help protect children’s teeth, and we keep an eye on how the bite is developing. Read more on our children’s dentistry page.
Why regular check-ups matter
Most decay and gum disease cause no pain in the early stages. A check-up every six months, or as advised, finds problems while they are small, quick and inexpensive to treat. A clinic that’s easy to reach makes it much more likely that you’ll keep those appointments. For general advice on keeping teeth healthy, see the NHS guide to dental check-ups.
Common reasons patients from Al Majaz visit us
The most common reasons people visit us are routine check-ups and cleaning, toothache, bleeding gums, broken fillings, sensitivity, and questions about straightening or whitening teeth. Whatever the reason, the first step is the same: a free consultation and X-ray, a clear explanation and a written plan. Patients often tell us the biggest difference is being shown exactly what is happening and why.
Booking your visit
Booking is simple. Call 06 715 6001 or send a WhatsApp message with your name, a preferred time and a few words about what you need. Mention that you’re coming from Al Majaz so we can suggest the quietest time to travel. Bring your Emirates ID, insurance card and a list of any medicines. If you’re switching dentists, bring recent X-rays or treatment notes if you have them, and we will review your history at the first visit. Many patients book their next check-up before they leave, so they never have to remember to call.
