The people behind your care

Choosing a dentist is personal. You want someone who listens, explains things clearly in a language you’re comfortable with, and treats you the same way every time. At Al Jazeera Dental Clinic our dentists work as one team, but you can always choose who you see.

This page introduces our dentists, explains who to see for what, the languages we speak, what to expect at your first visit and how to book with the dentist of your choice in Al Majaz, Sharjah.

How to choose the right dentist for you

Everyone in the team provides general care such as check-ups, cleaning, fillings and extractions, so for routine treatment you can choose whoever suits you best, for example by language or appointment times. For particular treatments, it can help to see the dentist whose training matches your needs.

If you aren’t sure, just tell us what you need when you book and we will suggest the most suitable person. You can change your mind at any time, and you’re always welcome to ask for a second opinion within the team.

Things to consider

  • The treatment you need
  • The language you prefer
  • Days and times that suit you
  • Whether you’re booking for a child
  • Who you have seen before

Seeing the same dentist every time

We believe you should not have to explain your history to someone new at every appointment. When you choose one of our dentists, we book you with them for follow-up visits too, so they know your teeth, your concerns and how you like things explained.

If your dentist is away and you need urgent care, another member of the team will see you, with full access to your notes and X-rays, so nothing is lost.

Why it helps

  • Your dentist knows your history
  • Consistent advice and plans
  • Easier for nervous patients
  • Better long-term care

Our dentists and children

Children need a gentle, patient approach. All our dentists see children, and Dr Christina has postgraduate training in paediatric dentistry. A parent stays in the room the whole time, we use simple, friendly words, and the first visit can be as short and easy as your child needs.

Booking your family together, with the same dentist or different dentists back to back, saves time and keeps everyone’s records in one place.

Tips for a first visit

  • Talk about it positively
  • Bring a favourite toy
  • Choose a time when they are rested
  • Praise them afterwards

Nervous about seeing a new dentist?

Many adults feel anxious about the dentist, often because of a bad experience in the past. Tell us when you book. Your dentist will take time to talk before doing anything, explain each step, agree a stop signal and never rush you. Many nervous patients start with a simple check-up and clean to build trust.

Modern numbing means most treatment is comfortable, and our dentists always check you’re fully numb before starting.

We can

  • Talk first, treat later
  • Explain every step
  • Agree a stop signal
  • Book a longer appointment
Our promise

What every one of our dentists promises

Clear explanations

You see your X-rays and photos and understand your options before you decide.

Written costs

The full cost in writing before treatment starts, with no surprises.

Gentle care

Careful numbing, a calm pace and breaks whenever you need them.

Working as one team

Although you can choose who you see, our dentists work closely together. They discuss more complex cases, share experience and refer within the team when a particular skill will help you, for example a child who needs orthodontic advice or a patient who needs a root canal before a crown.

That teamwork means you benefit from the experience of the whole team, while keeping the comfort of one familiar face.

What to bring to your appointment

A little preparation makes your visit smoother. Bring your Emirates ID and insurance card so we can check your cover, a list of any medicines you take, and any recent X-rays or reports from another clinic. If you have had a reaction to an anaesthetic or a medicine before, please tell us.

For children, bring their insurance card and any vaccination or medical notes that may be relevant. Arriving ten minutes early on your first visit gives time to complete a short medical history form.

Checklist

  • Emirates ID
  • Insurance card
  • List of medicines
  • Previous X-rays or reports
  • Questions you want to ask

Second opinions welcome

If you have been told you need major treatment elsewhere, such as several crowns, a root canal or extractions, you are welcome to come for a second opinion. We’ll examine your teeth, look at any X-rays you bring, and explain honestly what we think, including whether simpler options are available.

There is no pressure to have treatment with us. Our aim is that you leave understanding your options clearly, so you can decide what is right for you.

Bring if you can

  • Your treatment plan
  • Recent X-rays
  • The quote you were given
  • Any questions you have

Feedback and follow-up

We want every visit to feel comfortable and clear. After treatment we may message you to check how you are feeling, and you can always reply with questions. If something doesn’t feel right after treatment, such as a high filling or ongoing sensitivity, let us know and we’ll see you promptly to adjust it.

Your feedback helps the whole team improve, so please share your thoughts, good or bad.

Contact us after treatment if

  • Your bite feels high
  • Pain is getting worse
  • Swelling appears
  • You have any questions
