Dentist open late in Sharjah: evening and weekend dental care
Dental problems rarely wait for office hours. Here is when to book an evening visit, what counts as urgent, and how to get same-day care in Al Majaz until 10 PM.
Care that fits around your day
For many families in Sharjah, the only free time is after work and school. That is why so many people search for a dentist open late, either for a routine check-up they keep postponing or because a tooth started hurting in the afternoon. Al Jazeera Dental Clinic on Al Khan Street in Al Majaz 3 is open Sunday to Friday from 9 AM to 10 PM and on Saturday from 12:30 PM to 10 PM, seven days a week.
This guide explains what you can book in the evening, which problems need same-day care, what to do if pain starts after we close, and how to get to us quickly from nearby areas.

Why late opening hours matter
Dental pain that starts at 4 PM is miserable to sit through until the next morning. With a dentist open late, many urgent problems can be assessed and relieved the same evening. Late hours also help with routine care: check-ups, cleans and follow-up visits are easier to keep when you do not have to leave work early or take children out of school.
Regular visits are the best way to avoid emergencies in the first place, so convenient hours aren’t just about comfort; they help people actually keep their appointments.
When we’re open
Sunday to Friday
9 AM to 10 PM. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments, including after work.
Saturday
12:30 PM to 10 PM, so you can still be seen at the weekend.
Same-day slots
We keep time free every day for toothache, swelling and broken teeth.
Problems that need same-day care
Call us the same day if the pain is severe, if you have swelling, or if a tooth is broken or knocked out. These problems can get worse overnight, and early treatment is usually simpler and more comfortable. As a dentist open late in Al Majaz, we can often relieve the pain the same evening and plan any further treatment calmly.
Go straight to a hospital emergency department, or call 998, if swelling is spreading towards your eye or neck, if you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, or if you have had a serious injury to the face or head.
Call us today for
- Severe or throbbing toothache
- Swelling of the gum or face
- A broken or knocked-out tooth
- A lost filling or crown with pain
- Bleeding after an extraction
Routine care you can book in the evening
Almost everything a dentist open late offers can be booked in an evening slot: check-ups and X-rays, scale and polish, fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, orthodontic check-ups and whitening. Longer cosmetic appointments are usually best earlier in the day, but we’ll always try to fit around you. Having a late-opening dentist means families can book back-to-back appointments for parents and children after school.
Not sure what you need?
Get a free check-up and X-ray. A dentist explains your options and gives you the cost in writing. Open until 10 PM on Al Khan Street, Al Majaz.
If pain starts after 10 PM
Even with a dentist with evening hours, pain can start after closing. If a tooth starts hurting after we close, rinse with warm salt water, floss gently around the tooth, take an ordinary painkiller exactly as directed on the pack and hold a cold compress against your cheek. Keep your head raised on an extra pillow. Don’t put aspirin on the gum and don’t apply heat to a swollen face. Then call us as soon as we open; we’ll find you an early slot. If swelling spreads or you feel unwell, don’t wait: go to hospital. See our toothache guide for more.
Getting to us
We are on Al Khan Street in Al Majaz 3, close to Al Qasba, Buhairah Corniche and Al Majaz Waterfront, with parking in front of the clinic. Patients come from Al Nahda, Al Taawun, Al Khan, Rolla, Abu Shagara, Al Qasimia and Al Mamzar. The street gets busy around 5 PM, so if you’re booking a late appointment, a slot after 8 PM is often quicker to reach. See our contact page for directions and a map.

We offer the earliest slot that suits you, including after 8 PM.
Bring your card
Bring your Emirates ID and insurance card so we can check your cover.

What to bring
Bring your Emirates ID, your insurance card and a list of any medicines you take. If you have recent X-rays or reports from another clinic, bring them too. For children, bring their own insurance card. If you are in pain, tell us when you call so we can prepare a room and see you as quickly as possible.
Insurance and payment in the evening
When you visit a late-opening dentist, you need reception open late too. Our reception team works the same hours as the dentists, so insurance checks and approvals are handled in the evening too. We accept FMC, NGI, Inayah, Aafiya, SAICO / Damana, GlobeMed, MSH, Fazaa and Esaad, and you can spread the cost with Tabby, Tamara or Toothpick. See our insurance page.
How to choose a dentist open late
Late hours are only useful if the care is good. When you choose a dentist with evening hours, look at the same things you would for any clinic: a valid health authority licence, clear explanations, written costs before treatment, and good reviews from real patients. Check that the evening team can take X-rays and treat problems on the spot, rather than only booking you in for another day.
It also helps if the clinic accepts your insurance and handles approvals in the evening, so you’re not left waiting until the next morning to start treatment.
Look for
- A licensed clinic and dentists
- X-rays available in the evening
- Same-day treatment, not just advice
- Written costs before treatment
- Insurance handled on the spot
Evening visits for nervous patients
Some people feel calmer at the dentist in the evening, when the day is done and there is no rush to get back to work. If you feel anxious, tell us when you book. We’ll allow extra time, explain each step before we do it, agree a stop signal and never hurry you. A late-opening dentist can be the easiest way to finally deal with a problem you have been avoiding.
Why we chose to stay open late
Al Majaz is a busy residential and working area, and many of our patients are families, shift workers and professionals who can’t easily visit during the day. Being a dentist with evening hours, seven days a week, means people don’t have to choose between their job and their teeth. It also means we can see more emergencies the same day, instead of sending patients to a hospital for problems a dentist can treat.
For you, it simply means that when a tooth hurts in the evening, there is a late-opening dentist nearby, with your records and X-rays on file.
Children and late appointments
Children are often tired in the late evening, so for young children an after-school slot between 4 PM and 7 PM usually works best. Older children and teenagers with braces can easily come later. If your child has a knocked or chipped tooth from sport or play, call us straight away; a dentist with evening hours can check the tooth and the gum that same evening, which matters a great deal for a knocked-out adult tooth. See our children’s dentistry page.
