About us

A family dental clinic on Al Khan Street since 1998

For more than 25 years, families in Al Majaz, Al Khan and across Sharjah have trusted us with their teeth. We’re still on the same street, and we still work the same way: honest advice, explained clearly, at a fair price.

About Al Jazeera Dental Clinic

Many people come to us after being told they need a lot of expensive work somewhere else. Our approach is simple. We examine you, show you the X-ray on screen, and explain what we can see. Then we separate what genuinely needs treatment now from what can safely be watched.

This page tells you about who we’re, how we work, who we see, what we offer and don’t offer, and how to find us in Al Majaz, Sharjah. If you want to know more about anything here, just ask.

How we work

You get the plan and the cost in writing before anything starts, and nothing is added once you’re in the chair. If something is outside what we do, such as implants, we tell you and refer you to someone we trust.

We would rather talk you out of treatment you don’t need than sell you something you’ll regret. Patients often tell us that’s what they like most about the clinic, and it’s why many families have stayed with us for decades. We take time to answer questions about your options, your costs and what to expect.

We also care about comfort. Careful numbing, a calm pace and clear explanations make a real difference, especially for people who feel nervous about the dentist.

Our promise

Three things we promise every patient

We tell you when you don’t need treatment

Small problems can often be watched rather than treated. When that’s the case, we say so.

You see your own X-ray

On screen, explained, so you can see the problem yourself.

The cost in writing first

Your plan and price are written down before anything starts.

Who we see

Children from age three, teenagers in braces, working adults fitting appointments around their day, and grandparents with dentures. Many of our patients are second- and third-generation families who first came to us as children.

Our team speaks English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Filipino, and we’re open until 10 PM seven days a week, so it’s easy to find a time that works and someone who can talk with you in your language. Tell us about any special needs when you book and we’ll plan your visit around them.

We welcome

  • Children from age three
  • Teenagers and students
  • Working adults
  • Older patients and denture wearers
  • Nervous patients
  • People with additional needs
What we offer

Treatments at the clinic

General dentistry

Check-ups, cleaning, fillings, gum care, extractions and night guards.

Restorative dentistry

Root canal treatment, crowns, bridges and dentures.

Orthodontics

Metal and ceramic braces and clear aligners.

Cosmetic dentistry

Teeth whitening, bonding, veneers and Hollywood smile.

What we don’t do

Being honest about our limits is part of how we work. We do not place dental implants. When implants may be the best option for you, we explain the pros and cons, and refer you to a colleague we trust. We then continue to look after the rest of your mouth.

The same applies to any treatment that needs hospital care or a specialist outside our team. We would rather refer you to the right person than attempt something that isn’t our strength.

Second opinions: if you have been given a treatment plan elsewhere and want to know more about your options, bring it in. We’ll tell you honestly what we think.

Our dentists

Our four dentists each bring their own area of training: Dr Ranjeet Kumar, our Medical Director, in endodontics; Dr Anija Sreekumar in orthodontics; Dr Christina S. in paediatric dentistry; and Dr Ruba Atta in general dentistry. You can ask for any of them by name when you book.

Questions people ask about the clinic

New patients often ask about parking, waiting times and whether they can bring family members into the room. There is parking in front of the clinic, we aim to see you on time, and family members are welcome to accompany you. Children always have a parent with them.

People also ask about costs before visiting. Your first consultation is free, and we always give the cost of any treatment in writing before we start. If you want to talk about a particular treatment before booking, send us a WhatsApp message and we’ll answer your questions.

Our story

The clinic opened on Al Khan Street in 1998, when Al Majaz was a much quieter neighbourhood. Since then Sharjah has grown around us, and dentistry has changed enormously, with digital X-rays, tooth-coloured materials and clear aligners. What has not changed is the way we treat people: honestly, gently and with time to explain.

Many of the children we first saw now bring their own children to us. That continuity is something we’re proud of, and it’s why we try to make every visit feel personal rather than rushed.

Then and now

  • 1998: opened on Al Khan Street
  • Digital X-rays shown on screen
  • Tooth-coloured fillings
  • Clear aligners and modern braces
  • Open until 10 PM

Community and families

We’re a neighbourhood clinic at heart. We see whole families, from grandparents to grandchildren, and we know how busy family life can be. Back-to-back appointments, evening and Saturday slots, and same-day care for emergencies make it easier to keep everyone’s teeth healthy.

We also share simple, practical oral health advice at every visit, for children and adults alike, because prevention is the best treatment of all. Small daily habits, such as brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and limiting sugary drinks, protect teeth far better than any filling.

Family friendly

  • Back-to-back bookings
  • Evening and Saturday slots
  • Same-day emergencies
  • Parents stay with children

Our values

Three values guide everything we do. Honesty: we recommend only what you need and tell you when treatment can wait. Clarity: you see your X-rays, understand your options and get the cost in writing. Kindness: we go at your pace, especially if you are nervous, and treat every patient with respect.

In practice

  • Only necessary treatment
  • Written plans and costs
  • Gentle, unhurried care
